I remember a thread about putting a cap in parallel with a resistor in the bluesbreaker to cut the high/edge off of the tone? Anyone remember this?

Mark Hammer

Stick a cap in parallel with the 220k feedback resistor in the clipping stage.  A value of 220pf to 330pf oughta do it.

my hero! What is the roll off of theose values? Do you know?

Mark Hammer

They are 1 / [2 * pi * .22M * .00022uf] = 3288hz and   1 / [2 * pi * .22M * .00033uf] = 2192hz.

Those might seem low, but remember thatthe filtering is only 6db/octave, pretty shallow, so you have to start lower than you think.
