I think it'd be pretty simple, seeing as it's sized for a 1590B someone could just do a standardised drilling template and presto, you've got the correct holes every time for your jacks, switch & DC socket (which would save alot of time from my standard drilling too). I don't see how it would be any harder than making sure the jacks and switch are lined up so that they fit in properly though even if you just sharpie marked where the holes should go... I think it's a great idea and I certainly wanna get some of the boards if they're available, if they're not... you're a tease Ice-9 :D

Yeah there easy to line up, but it did take some doing on my first prototypes, as i hadn't originally made up any templates. What i did was measure from one edge of the enclosure for all my measurements making all dimentions relative to each other until i was happy with the hole positions. I am going to do a template for future reference. There is also a LED mounted on the PCB so a hole for this is needed as well, but that could be mounted anywhere in the enclosure from wires soldered to the board or in its PCB position also.

@ Scruffie, I got 100 made, I didn't really need 100 but when i priced about 10 it was going to cost £80 and so i priced 40 PCB's and that was nearly £90 and 100 was only £20more at £110.

It wasn't my intention to be selling these, but if anyone would like to try them out i will pass a few on for cost + postage, only thing is i'm in the UK so and International postage might make it too much for others.

I'm going to build a couple up in different configurations and work on a drilling template that is accurate.
One of the reasons i got these made instead etching them myself again, was because i got sick of making the slots for the switch with a dremel, and it also worked out cheaper to get tham made than buy photo board

I've just had a read on batchpcb, I don't know if i read it wrong but if i submitted this pcb it would cost appx $10 + $10 setup and postage per pcb. At $1.67 per pcb including set up and postage i'm very happy at where I bought them. Has anyone else here used batchPcb  and what are your comments.

I'm in the UK and I'd LOVE to take a few of these off your hands if you'd sell them.

This is a great idea man! Would save a LOT of wiring.

Great job!. I'm planning something similar, and still trying to find where to get the boards cheap enough.
Where did you order yours?

Really nice work there Ice, this is definitely a time saver! Whats the name of company that made these? I'm in Sweden  but them still might have better prices then the local companies that I checked for similar work.

The place i used for getting them made is called pcbcart and they have an online instant quote system. To use it you do have to register though, but all thats required is an email address and its instant and i've never had any junk mail off them . Great prices but you do have to keep in mind that the more pcbs you get made the cheaper they become. Example if you only wanted one then the tooling costs would make 1 board about $40 but if you wanted 100 it would work out about $1.50 each.

thanks for the info.

It's always good to have alternatives I can use from europe.

Prices look good!

I think they are in the Far East aren't they? China, Hong Kong.

Any of these avaliable for sale? Had this idea and knew someone must have already done it, and you have, even better than I could have even imagined!
