Does anyone have the schematic for the Aussie compressor? I found an old thread about this but the schematic was missing.

I was asking about this circuit a couple weeks ago.

There is a layout in the gallery with part values, but I looked around quite a bit and couldn't find the schem. Someone could, I suppose, redraw the schem from the layout. It would be handy as I wanted to breadboard it myself and it will be a little more difficult going from a layout.

I found the layout in the gallery. I always like to have the schematic on hand for reference. I was just thinking I might try and redraw a schem from the layout.

the trend of publishing only layouts and no schematics started a number of years ago and, to me, marks the spot when creativity and sharing of ideas faded from the forum (look back 6-8 years to see the differance). I think a lot of the oldtimers find it much easier to help when seeing a schematic than looking at a layout. me, for one, gave up when I traced someones "new" design and found just another moded tubescreamer, for the fifth time... the Aussie comp might exist in schematic form under another name...I seem to recall "supper simple comp" or "stupidly simple.." or something like that..

DON'T PANIC

I traced a schematic from Mark M's layout on the train home from work tonight. It's pretty simple. Not too many parts. I prefer to look at the schematic first every time.

There was a schem at one point. It is referred to in the thread, but it doesn't appear in the thread anymore. Probably deleted and I don't think the guy that designed it posts around here anymore.

I find it easier to try to understand what is going on from a schematic too. I would think the only reason people post layouts only is if they are developing the circuit on a breadboard and going straight to strip-board.

Any chance of posting it?
