Perfboard layout request

I have been searching aound quite a bit looking for some help with a couple of perfboard layouts. I searched google, forum topics, and the gallery, with no real luck.
I am currently working on Joe Davisson's Obsidian right now - have it on the breadboard. I did the Vulcan, which is similar, but it wound up being long, and the Obsidian has the extra tone control section that would make my version be kind of awkward.
If anyone has made these circuits on perfboard and either has a layout (or photo) to share, or knows where to find one, I would be very appreciative.
...or if anyone thinks it is really not worth doing perf, and I should man up and etch a PCB, feel free to comment as well  :P
I am also looking to make the BSIAB2 which is kind of complex for perf, but I think I would like to give it a try.
What about MXR Phase 45? Am I being ridiculous?  :icon_lol:

Did you have a look in the Layouts Gallery - can't imagine there wouldn't be something there..... See top of this page.
May take some time searching though.

I really like perf.  For my Range Master and Fuzz Face, I made horribly inefficient perf layouts by arranging the bits the same way they are shown in the schematic.  For more complicated circuits, I just went ahead and perfed a pcb layout.  The most complex one I did that way was the SaffRoss Squeeze using MarkM's layout (thanks MarkM!):

Beyond that level of complexity, it's pcb's for me.

I've built both. How are you laying it out. I was able to fit mine in a 1590BB box easily.

Most of the Perfboard layouts that I have been doing are either based on Runoffgroove layouts, or ones that I did myself that follow that schematic. All components are pretty much in the same place on perf as they are on the schematic. I haven't really gotten to the point where I can translate a PCB layout to perf very well. I did find a layout for the Obsidian in the gallery that seems like a PCB layout that would work for perf. I might try it.

AHA! DIY Layout Creator to the rescue!  ;D
Downloaded the layouts and found "jd_obsidian.diy" - just what I was looking for. I wonder why I couldn't find the layout online?
