Alternative Spyder transformer?

Does anyone know if there is a transformer comparable to the weber one for the spyder that's available from the uk/europe? I had a look through some old posts and couldn't see any suggestions.

I got onto the Mouser Electronics site and reset the country to "UK". Then I looked for power => transformers => stocked => (all the ones with dual 1xx or 2xx primaries) and then picked 12V secondaries. Came up with the Mouser part number       673-048-5216-0, which is pulse part number 048-5216-0 (http://www.pulseeng.com/products/datasheets/LT2006_15.pdf) which sells for £5.54 in ones. You get two 400ma 12V secondaries with this, so four of them gets you eight isolated outputs for £24 for the transformers. I don't know how much packing and shipping would cost. This does not compare at all unfavorably with the Weber transformer. It's slightly more expensive before shipping, but it's a whole lot more available power.

Hmm seems like with packing, shipping, and handling the weber might actually me cheaper, and about half the size. What do you mean by more available power? That each output has a greater voltage? For me i think the weber still has it maybe. Does anyone know the cost of shipping and duties to the uk for the Weber transformer?

It may be cheaper that way. That's why I mentioned it. To be sure, I don't know whether Mouser has stocking locations in the EU. I do know that the transformer I pointed out is not in the USA version of the Mouser catalog, so maybe. Check it and see.

More current per winding, something like 400ma per winding. The Weber one is less than that, I think.

It doesn't say in the description on the SmallBear website, but does that transformer have split primaries for use in countries with 220-240V mains? If the black wires in the picture are the primaries, then I'm afraid not.

The WPDLXFMR-2 is what you want for 220/240v use.

And Steve (Smallbear) charged me less than half of the price that Weber quoted me to ship it to Australia.  So naturally I went with Smallbear and it arrived very very quickly!
