it seems simple enough but i can't seem to find info on what is contained inside the "box". any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay call me shirley...but why don't people just buy one for that price.

By the time you get the components wiring, jacks etc.  YOu could have bought one.  With a warranty I might add.

yea i ended up finding a schem for something similar right after i posted this, and yes, components alone would come close to that price so will prolly tack it on my next order over 100$ to get free shipping.

unless visual sound orders direct....has anyone here ever used this? is it really as quiet as say, a power brick or multiple adapters?

I had one a while back and it worked like a charm for me.  I understand the newer ones are more compatible with most pedals.   I know it worked with all my builds.
