Question for you......

I have a pedal I'd like made. Very simple. I want a clone (or something close) of the Boss FS-6 foot switch EXCEPT in a MUCH smaller enclosure.  However, I lack the technical competency to do this – believe me!! As well as owning no tools. They don't even allow me into Home Depot/Lowe's! I only wish I could do this myself. It will be used with my Boss RC-2 Looper. I have some schematics for one that someone sent me. But, I'm sure it can be improved upon.

I own a FS-6 now and it's just too friggin big! Currently power it with a 9v battery eliminator via my Fuel Tank Jr.

Is there anyone there (or do you know anybody) who would take this on for me at a reasonable price?

Thanks so much!

Not specifically listed, but Dan Burgess might be able to help you out.

Any number of us here could likely do it for you, but is it worth the money? Not sure. Essentially you want a latching and a non latching momentary switch in one unit. What kind of dimensions are you wanting? Do you need LED's? Could these be 2 separate units or do you need them to be one? How many cables do you need to run from the unit to the Looper? Do you need it to have the dual mono out and the Stereo out of the Boss unit?

Hear what you're saying......

I currently use my FS-6 essentially as two F5-Us:

1. Would like all in one box
2. Small as possible
3. For the most versatility, would like 2 momentary switch with a toggle switches. This will let me switch between normally open, and normally closed allowing me to use it with Boss products and other standard tap inputs. How? Perhaps...Wire the sleeve of the jack to the center lug of the first pole of the Momentary switch. The Tip of the jack will be wired to the center lug of the toggle. Now wire one of the Throw lugs of the toggle to one of the throw lugs of the first pole of the Momentary switch. Repeat for the other throw of the Toggle, being connected to the remaining throw of the first pole of the Momentary Switch. You can now change between normally open and normally closed tap I think.

A basic tap tempo requires a SPST momentary (normally open) switch and a mono 1/4" jack. One wire from tip to a lug on the switch, another wire from sleeve to the other lug on the switch, done. What I'd like is to put two of these into one SMALL enclosure, then use a cable that is stereo male on one end, and dual mono male (or better yet - stereo on both ends.) So this is really two FS-5U's in one box. Need the out cable to end in a RA plug.

The FS-6 uses a stereo jack which is wired to both switches. It also adds a toggle to each switch so that you can change the stomp from normally open to normally closed, by reversing polarity. For this use a DPDT stomp switch, and a sub-mini SPDT toggle?

4. Would like single TRS out ending in a RA plug. Instead of a mono attached to a dual cable tip and ring set-up. If this is possible.
5. LED would be nice
6. No need to worry about a battery if the design calls for it (with an LED I imagine?) Can power via my pedalboard supply and a One-Shot Battery Clip Converter that plugs right into a 9v battery clip. Or it might be possible to add a Boss-type barrel instead?

Anyway, you guys know this stuff WAY more than me....Sorry if I made any ignorant or dumb suppositions above.

Thanks Jacob for hooking me up with Dan. He makes just about exactly what I want and at a great price.
