Complex Channel Switcher

Well just curiously I opened my amp's footswitching unit (Hughes and Kettner Trilogy). I wasn't expecting much but to my surprise was a loooong circuit board which contains resistors, diodes, transistors and caps. Obviously it requires power for the LEDs and I assume this is 'phantomed' from the amp, is that what all of that circuitry is?
