The blend knob seems to be working backwards.. instead of bringing in a clean signal (dry) when it's turned down, and bringing in distortion when it's turned up (wet) according to the manual, (here), what happens is, when it's all the way down it's just the (distorted) sub-octaves (or jumping between octaves uncontrollably, with very little sustain), and all the way up it's the fuzzed notes plus the suboctaves (or maybe not, I can't really tell).

Is the Dunlop manual misleading or is there something wrong? I bought this used though it looks brand new. It's the block print reissue. Thanks for any help!

Is it soldered directly to the board, or are there wires connecting it?  If wires, then it is simply a matter of flipping around the two outside lug connections.

That sounds like it's working fine to me.  The blend pot on the blue box mixes the octave effect with the fuzz effect.  All the way anticlockwise should be 100% octave, all the way clockwise should be 100% fuzz.  In between mixes the two.
