  Final notes:
  Now the FF's have various PS's { I have an NPN and a PNP FF], I love them both, when tweeked in, and through the preferred 'peripherals', especailly somewhat cranked amp, the GE and SI fuzzfaces are fine fun. 
  The GE was a great deal more trouble to get set up with the drifting/leakage/hfe differences, tonal differences in the Q's etc.
  It is still influenced sometimes by the phase of the moon and temperatures.
  Si is more reliable.
