External tap tempo for Superdelay?

Has anyone tried it?
Looking inside, the tap switch is a spst switch that is on/off instead of momentary.
My thinking would be to install a dpdt toggle switch to toggle between the switch on the pedal and an external switch.
Why? I am building a loop box and would love to have the tap switch on it.
Anyone have any thoughts on the issue?
All the best!

I talked to the folks at Empress a few months back when I was thinking of buying one (I didn't :icon_cry:), and they were very helpful.  The Superdelay tap is triggered by edge detecting logic (a change in logic, up or down; instead of just up or just down, which is the way, for instance, my DD-20 works).  You can replace the existing switch with a jack easily enough - hot to tip, ground to sleeve.  The only issue is that, if you want to use the same tap switch for other pedals you will need to come up with a way to give each pedal its required logic.  This should only take a few logic chips, though I don't remember which ones at the moment.

Send them an email.  I found them very helpful.  I'm pretty sure this is also covered on their FAQ.

It seems that the easy solution is to take out the tap switch and install a 1/4' jack in its place. Then install the switch where I want it. That seems easy enough!
Thanks!
