how do I add a blinking led to a phase 45 or similar?

can someone point me to a link or tell me how to add a flashing led speed indicator to the phase 45 or similar effect? thanks

For the P45; not sure what schem you're using, but using the tonepad schem, IC2a is at the far right. I've seen this mod done by connecting a 24k resistor to that pin, and connect the other end to an LED cathode, with the annode connected to ground. Try that and see if it works.

Rick, I've been looking at your Causality phaser - have you tried implementing a rate LED on that?

I'm not a fan of blinking rate LEDs - scared of causing ticking as the LED draws it's current. Though there is a waxing/waning dual LED mod for Causality if you search the thread - didn't do it to mine though!

The way I did it on my Phase 90 was to connect a 6.8k to the LED from the speed pot. Works fine.

I did the 2 LED thing on my Causality MKII. I LOVE it almost as much as the whole circuit. It is not only useful, but fun to watch!

I don't get any associated ticking, FYI.

I did the mod as shown in the link. I like it. I've noticed on some "blinking" effects the blink fades in and fades out, how is this accomplished? Is there a practical way of doing this with the 45?
