maybe you could try to get the envelope of the clean note. i think it would give you more control

hmmm..like putting the envelope first you mean?....yeah i'll have a go at that...makes sense...

no i mean the filter comes after the fuzz, but you get the envelope that controls the filter before the fuzz. the clean signal is more dynamic.

Thanks for the rememdering. I really got this idea from Paul Trombeta who has excelent pedals among his creations.

One thing I tried to aproximate was some GR-300 trumpeting with some echo and chorus from multifx unit. It does not have the body a GR has, but...
I like the way it behaves when we change pickups and the volume knob on the guitar.
Another thing I've tried recently was the use of an autofilter after that and some digital harmonized intervals. It's a pity not tried it before I did the video...
Even using the autofilter being triggered by the distorted and "not-so-envelope-follower-firendly" output it achieved great results.
I think I will build a bigger unit with an autofilter and the trumpeting fuzz so I could use the dry signal to fully trigger the envelope detector.
Pagan and happy!

i built an 'octup blender' that has a really cool trumpet sound.  i used silicon diodes by mistake for the rectification. imho dirty octave up effects get pretty trumpety. try cranking a mis-biased gatey fuzz in front of an octave up circuit as well...
also alot of the trumpet like sounds comes from a legato/ pulloff hammeron style of playing as well , lots of chromatic runs ,sounds best around the 12th fret and higher ..i tried to add /remove bass, but either way it sounds trumpety...maybee a bit of low end rolled off for a more piercing tone.

octup blender is a simple circuit if you've never built one, try it with silicone diodes. very trumpety.
