Hi everyone,

I know this is an old project, but it sounded interesting so I thought I'd build one for fun!
After having laid it out twice already over the past few months, without satisfaction, I took a well-planned minimalist approach and made a layout that I'm happy with. Made use of the 2nd RC4558 opamp instead of wiring up another one, and I also did a lot of caps/resistors "overpassing" soldered leads. I find it has a good ease of soldering for the amount of space used (after all, we don't all perf as nicely as the veterans! ;)) I've also got a lot of space to play around with component placement/cut the perfboard to fit in jacks, switch, etc.

Purple wire is input
Dark green are Drive pot  (too lazy to add the pots to the layout, but its easy to figure out based on the schem)
Blue wires are "Bite" dual-gang
Yellow are tone pot
green is volume pot (ground connection)
Red is +9v
Orange is +18v

Other notes: all caps are in uF unless specified, and the two 10uF caps in the power section are rated for 25V. Also used whatever diodes were available. I could only find a 0.47uF electrolytic in tantalum format, so I hope that does its job right!

Many thanks, Aron. Hope this one turns out great!

Will be building either this week or after my firefly stuff ships in, but if anybody can verify/sees a mistake, please let me know!

Also, any noise issues with having the voltage doubler near my 3PDT? I will be using shielded cable, so maybe it's not an issue anyways.
