Simple two button footswitch for Roland Cube 20X

The footswitch jack on the Roland Cube 20X says:
TIP: SELECT
RING: EFX

Does this mean all I need is a TRS stereo jack two SPST switches and
- connect tip and sleeve to one switch for the SELECT function?
- connect ring and sleeve to the other switch for the EFX function?

I just built a FS3X DIY for my Jamman (http://www.diyguitarist.com/Schematics/FS3X-Wiring.pdf) and want to do something similar for the Roland Cube. I assume I do NOT need diodes this time.

Looks good, but I don't know if a plastic diskette box is going to stand up to repeated stomping.
