A long shot - anyone got a FAN7040 IC sloshing around their components box?

I'd really like to get my hands on a Fairchild FAN7040 amplifier ...alas, they're EOL, and the only quantity I can source is 1000pcs!

Now it struck me that this is a veritable cornucopia of 'dabblers' & there may well be someone who dabbled, sighed, dibbled & then moved on - leaving one unloved FAN7040 ruthlessly discarded at the back of a component tray somewhere ...I'd love to give it a good non-smoking pet free home. Ours is a stable household, we have good jobs with prospects and a nice garden.

The exchange - if it happens - will be on a park bench "The seagulls have taken the whitebait" will be our code.

I already tried that, the results were as expected - sh1t. That same scenario was however much better when I wrote TL072 on the LM386 instead .....& I'm now using it in a circuit to detect when my neighbour's hosepipe infringes onto my land.
