Hello good people...
Is it possible to make a blend knob between the dry signal and the weet from a boost ?
Something like this ?

I would like to build it into my guitar, so when the knob is turned down it's the dry signal and when up it's boosted.

Aparently i can't post the picture..
But it just shows the dry signal to log 2 on the pot, then the signal from log 1 to the boost and from the boost to the output and log 3 directly to output.

You should be able to do it with a double pot pretty easily. Just two output volumes wired reversed from eachother.

You'll probly need to balance it a little with a resister to ground on the boosted side though.

Find the Clapton boost for an example of how to do that, or the Sparkle Drive.

Great idea with the double pot! I have the pot from my old TBX cut tone control laying around, good enough?
I think it's a 1M and 250 ohm's, not sure though!

But can you tell me whu i can't do it with a normal pot ? Like the old Telecasters

Bad Chizzle

Not sure, but if I was going to start, I'd maybe look up an old Tele schematic and go from there. Basically though, I'm thinking you would just need to build a very small passive mixer and put it all up in there after your two parallel outputs. That's why I suggested the dual pot. I believe with the dual pot set up so when one section goes up the other goes down, you will have built a one knob mixer. You could even have an overall level control after that if you wanted. I'm just spitballing here.

I get it, and what would be cool! But i rather use one pot since a double pot is kind a hard to get (for a fair price) were i'm from!

You linked to your PhotoBucket _album_, not your PB _image_. So the IMG code can't work.

There's ways to link to a PB image. If you click-click-click the right stuff (??), they actually tell you the code:

But your image is 960 pixels wide. So wide that if you did get it into the forum message it would slop off the side of my screen. And while I often draw that big, I can see smaller; it is polite to re-size images for in-forum posts. (For more-detailed images, with a link to the full image or album.)

And PhotoBucket sucks. Use tinypic.com

That drawing can't be right. Both collectors tied together? Nothing to base of Q2? OK, I see where this should be going.

If this is a "clean" boost, then "blend" is the same as "less boost".

Even if the "boost" really goes into the "dirty zone", adding-back the direct sound mostly dilutes the effect.

But yeah. Connect a 100K pot from input to boost output. Take your final output from the wiper. This way may squeal when nothing is plugged into the input; can't tell without some numbers on the drawing.

Exactly what I was thinking as I read this.. why blend a boost ?
