best buttons for tap tempo

I'm building a pedal with tap tempo and am wondering what you all consider to be the best button/switch for this.  I'm personally not that big a fan of tap tempo, but a lot of my friends who play in bands love it and it's very easy to implement with a digital chip.  I'm not sure whether folks prefer to use their foot or finger to tap, although this may only effect the size of the button.  It doesn't seem a stomp switch would really work because it takes too much force to tap quickly.  Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Zach

There are soft touch stomp switches that don't take much force to activate:

I've never used them but I am definitely ordering a batch soon since many of my projects are going in a tap tempo/microcontroller direction.

Those are working for me well. That's the only switch I've used, and it works on 3 of my pedals.

Here is a box I made for my Boss DD-5: http://www.diyguitarist.com/DIYStompboxes/TempoBox.htm
I used a RadioShack momentary switch on it - http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062496
Been using it regularly for like 7 years now, have had no problems with it.
