I'm looking to make my pedal have a couple LED's turn on when engaged. Can I just hooke them up in parallel? Or...
I assume it's not that easy.
I did a basic search to see if I could find similar topics in the forum, but didn't come up with anything. I fail when it comes to the search function.

Thanks for the help.

I'm using this wiring setup.

I think when a small amount of LED's are used, and if they are the same type (color, brightness, etc), it doesn't matter if you put them in series or parallel. You can use one of the many online LED current resistor calculators out there to ballpark what value resistor to use, or if you will need one at all.

You can only have leds in parallel if they have their own series resistor. It might work for some leds if they are perfectly matched but there is a good chance that they will not be equally bright.
Much easier would be to connect them in series with a single series resistor. That way they will all share the same current.
