Understanding Varitone and Pots+Caps replacement

Hi,

I saw the normal guitar wiring (Vol Pot+Tone Pot+ Cap) , the Varitone (Vol Pot+6position switch+Caps+Inductor) and some with a modified version of the Varitone(Vol Pot+ 6 position Switch+Caps)

The last one got my atention:  does the cap ( X value) direct to ground act the same as a (0,047uF+ Y resistor Value)?

So ,  a 1n cap direct to ground works the same as a 0.047uF with a 1K resistor?

does it change the gain of the signal (from Pickup)
