Fuzz Factory question?

I used the SINO pnp trannies from Small Bear. My question is, do i need to bias them in the circuit? i've read that you don't but i don't get a smooth enough fuzz at any point. it sounds mis-biased all the time. the stab knob doesn't seem to function right either. it could be because it's not biased right. also, is the pinout on these trannies the same as an ac128? thanks

About the bias, I think the pots acts as bias themselves.At least the comp one.Hell, I got a fuzz factory(with ac128) and I never had to bias them or something like that
About the pinout...In the ac128 you can see a ledge.The pin that is nearer to that ledge is the emitter
