Transistors for a good 69' fuzz?

What's a good pair to get do you guys think and what hfe should they be? I'm thinking something like the fulltone 69 and have found a substitute for NKT's but don't want to order without knowing first. I also have some AC188's coming all with high hfe and a pair of matched BC109C's.

Because the percentage of raw stock that fits the "gold" 80-90/120-140 buckets is so small, I will not guarantee gain buckets for any of my audited pairs; you have to accept "luck of the draw." If you want a pair of devices in the "gold" range, IMO the best way to get that is to buy a small bulk lot (from me, or from some other reputable seller) and sort your own. If anyone out there is offering audited, low leakage "gold bucket" pairs at prices competitive with mine, I would guess that the person either owns a germanium mine or has found a mother-lode of unusually consistent parts.
