Debuggin two Boss Mt-2

Hey there.
Well i have two boss mt2 bringed back to life. One of them works almost well instead of the high and mid freq pot doesn`t work. No matter if you change the position of the pots the sound is always the same. Dist, Level, and low pots work fine..... so I use this stompbox for my bass.

And in the other hand the other Metalzone 2, is dead or almost the distorsion is dead... in clean works fine. But when I pres the switch the led gets on and there is no sound. I changed the full set of m5218 and nothing change... the signal is lost in the IC3  which I´ve changed for another one and nothing happens.

So I get out of ideas especially with this one... The MT2 Zombie.....

Have you ever worked on pedals before? Are these your pedals or are they a friends?

The first thing you need to do is learn a bit about debugging pedals. A digital Multimeter (DMM) and an Audio Probe are the two major tools I use. Starting to learn how to use those would be a good first step.
