Ruby Amp with Ruby Tuby Pre-amp

This theoretically should work right?

I'm lazy. Instead of building the Ruby Tuby as 1 amp, I've build the Ruby Tuby first and I'm planning on perfing the Ruby Tuby Pre-amp section. So I'll have 2 boards. The Ruby amp and the Ruby Tuby Pre-amp. If I get my input socket, solder it to the input of the pre-amp, then the output of the pre-amp to the input of the Ruby amp, it should work right?

I'll end up with gain and volume for the pre-amp and then a master volume on the ruby amp (I did the bassman mod).

Sounds like cool bananas to me. What do you guys think? I just don't want to spend money on a tube and realise that the idea doesn't work. I don't get paid enough down at the slave camp kitchen  .
