Hey Guys! (and Gals)

First off I'd like to say thank you to everyone who participates on this Site. I've been reading these articles for a long time now learning in the shadows. =)

However, I finally have a problem that I can't seem to find an answer for...

I recently bought parts to build my first pedal ("Coffee Boost") ;) and I've been following this schematic found on this url http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=74542.0;prev_next=prev

Problem is... there is a cap/resist in the lower left corner that is unmarked!!! What is that?
I plead ignorance... if anyone has an idea, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks,
Brian

At first glance it appears to be the current limiting resistor for the LED.  You should be safe with any resistor from around 1k up.  Higher values will draw less current and make the LED dimmer.  Adjust to taste.

Here's the source w/ schematic, but don't think the LED's on there:

But yes, looks like the resistor is there so you won't blow the LED. Heemis is correct, 1K and up is cool for a 5mm led...If you're using a smaller LED (3mm), then use larger K

good luck
