For I project I need an enclosure that is not a standard size. I am looking for a place where I can have them made, including drilling of holes.

Any recommendations?

In small quantities, this might be possible in sheet metal. You'd need to find someone who has a shop and the equipment and is willing to help you get to the design you want. (Unless, of course, you can do the planning and drawings yourself.)

In cast aluminum, it's just not possible. The making of a mold is a major undertaking, both engineering and financial.

The dimensions I am looking for are:

250 mm long (9.8 in)
48 mm high (1.9 in)
75 mm wide (2.9 in)

If these are commercially available (already checked a lot of places), I'd like to hear of it.  Otherwise, I'll look for a local shop that could help me. Thanks for the suggestion.

Take a look at Pedalenclosures.com
Maybe Mike has something you can use.

This place has many odder size boxes you won't find at typical enclosure shops...

on a quick search, they have a 10" x 5" x 3.5". to find the exact dimensions you want without having it custom made,
i have to guess will be pretty damn tough.

good luck

Thanks for the link. unfortunately non of these fit. I have contacted Mike from pedalenclosures.com as well.  I may need to find someone local who can help me make one of my own.

At one place where I worked, there was so much money being spent on test equipment enclosures that the company came up with a standard extrusion.  It was a right angle piece with a cylindrical edge that looked like this:

      |
      |
    | |_______
    O___

as close as I can draw it in ASCII.  Each side had an inner lip and a shorter outer lip and flat pieces of aluminum were set in between the longer inner and shorter outer lip which provided a place to slide a sheet of aluminum in and screw it to the inner lip portion while keeping it trapped under the outer lip.  Four sides were made like this to form a rectangle and the cylindrical corner section used self-tapping screws to hold an end plate on like a Hammond 1455 case.  Case dies are about $20,000 and only make one size.  Extrusion dies are several hundred dollars and you can cut what you need to size.

Just a warning, that's kind of what we are saying. No one can make "one" custom aluminum cast enclosure. It costs tens of thousands just to set up a mold for the cast. This is why places like Small Bear and such have to make HUGE orders in advance to get any custom sized boxes, otherwise the expense is usually not warranted in the final cost per box.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking more about using a piece of sheet metal and fold that. Since it is for a power supply that sits under my pedal board, it doesn't need to look super fancy.
