What are you doing to remove expoxy from at circuit board?

I have a Maestro Sustainer that needs some rewiring but the wire are in a pile of goop!

Any help would be great!  Thanks!

Acetone will do the job but it will probably ruin the shielding on the wires.

You know, I used a heat gun and it did the trick.

I just need to chisel enough epoxy to solder a new wire together.  Thanks for the heads up on acetone!

I used acetone to remove the goop from pesky Juno 106 DCO chips to repair them, it worked quite well.
