AMZ Buffer has no sound for first 5 seconds

I just created an AMZ op amp buffer.  I used 2M resistors instead of 1M and made it on vero board.  I used a TL071 op amp and also added a power filtering circuit (1N4001, 47uF cap, .1uF cap).  When I turn it on and start playing I hear nothing.  Then after about 5 seconds the signal starts to fade in, a bit scratchy at first, then comes in clear after a few more seconds.

Has anyone seen this happen before?  If it makes a difference, just for testing I was going Guitar > Buffer > POD 2.0.

When you say "I turn it on and start playing" do you mean your turning the power on right before you start playing?  If that's the case it sounds normal to me.  The caps need some time to charge up.  Thats why you cant switch the power off and on with bypass switching on a pedal.

Hmm, that was a possibility I thought of.  I guess it is fine then.  Thanks!
