.99 + $2.02 shipping.

A friend just got his in the mail last week and it's working fine...so far.

I have that one in yellow, have been using it for about a year without issue

How about "free"? Circuit Specialists will throw in a free DMM with a $50.00 purchase (not exactly free, hence the quotes around "free", but you get the idea).

It's also a great place to buy soldering stations. I bought a Xytronic 137, and got the meter for free.

DC voltage: Input impedance: 1MOhm - you should remember this fact, because it can lead to pretty misleading measurements in stompboxes, where you often measure very weak sources (e.g. positive opamp input biased to Vref by 1MOhm resistor :)).. T.

RDH 3rd is more suited to your needs. Try pages 250++.

Thanks for all the info Paul.
Much clearer now and got some reading to do...

IIRC HF has had DMMs on sale for $1.99 limit 5 in the past IIRC with the battery.

dedguy I did not know HF had the meter for free with a coupon.

I have one like this, does all the job except accurate voltage readings across high kilo ohms resistors, >220k. I also use it at my construction sites when i'm wiring houses.

mac@mac-pc:~$ sudo apt install ECC83 EL84

^^^Yep me too, but the DM830D, which apparently means that it can beep on diode test and measure frequency, but can't take so high voltages. Still going strong, although I of course had to buy another to measure capacitance and higher resistance and build a third one for really high capacitance. :icon_rolleyes:

Just wanted to bring this up... the circuit on my breadboard has been driving me nuts for the past two nights, Could not figure out why my V.Ref was wrong on Pin 3... answer, the shitty multimeter I paid £3 for.

Thank god I found this thread to confirm it  :icon_lol:
