I'm just getting into pedal building and electronics tinkering and I need a soldering station. After poking around this forum I noticed the Xytronic 379 station came highly recommended. However, they don't make it anymore. I was instead thinking about the Xytronic LF369D. Does anyone have any experience with this one? Is it comparable to the 379? Also, does it matter that it's lead free? Thanks

I use the 136esd at home and love it, use a weller WD2 at work and love it too, for what I do at home I think the Xytronic station is great, it's just a Hakko, I use Hakko tips and they work quite well.
