I finally had time to finish something I started a ways back. I explained in a very quick fashion how the Boss and Ibanez pedals do their bypass with JFETs, and also how to integrate the true bypass relay circuit I mentioned earlier.

Questions welcome. I can be too cryptic at times, I know.  :icon_lol:

How about mods like remote switching (which I know is relatively trivial - another switch in parallel with the footswitch), or making the pedal power up in a certain state (i.e. effect engaged at turn on, for use in rack switching systems)?

Good idea, DV.

Open it up. What mods would make sense in addition to remote switching and power up in a definite state?

I updated the article with remote footswitching and forcing the same power-up condition all the time. I haven't posted the updates yet, pending other suggestions.
