Hey guys!

I am looking for "soft-touch" 3PDT switches similar to the ones used in the MXR 10-band EQs. It seems they are not momentary switches like the ones used in Korg Pitchfork. I have few of the regular ones but the force needed to actuate it is too much IMO. Any idea where I can get these from will be appreciated.

Thanks!

If these are anything like the dpdt version then thy will be very soft:

Those switches got discussed about a month ago. Pros - They seem solid and the throw is shorter than the blue 3PDT's. Cons - Getting wire through the lugs is like threading a needle, they're about half the size of what we're used to.

Those black 3pdts are garbage.

Zvex said he custom/special orders the soft click 3pdts that you find on some of his pedals.  I don't think there is a source for the average DIYer

I spoke with Zach; the ones he had made were DPDT Early next year, I will have in stock 4PDT momemtary and latching versions of this tactile switch:

Combine one of those with an actuator and you are golden.

if they are like the DPDT then yes, they are indeed POO.... so many of these were replaced under warranty... BUT they have the short action requested for a light switch....

i like a good firm and fast action in my switch... it's never been a problem for me.

+1. Mammoth is going to replace them for me, but I bought two and both came lose from the base right where the threads meet the body. one did it while I was tightening it down to the enclosure!
