I've got an EB Vp Jr. that is not working properly. It's pretty new. It has recently started out putting very little volume until the last little bit. The pot I guess is not opening up all the way until right at the very end. So there is not a smooth transition of volume from heel down until toe down. All of the change happens at tow down position.

How can i remedy this? Do I need to adjust the string mechanism? IF so how?

THanks,
jamie

The string pulls a little wooden wheel, right? I would imagine that the wheel slipped, so try pulling the spring out to give the string some slack, and twisting the wheel to where it gives you the response you want.

the little set screw on the brass ring that connects to the pot could have come loose.

ernie ball volume pedals are the devil. i traded someone for one and i was having issues with the volume and by trying to fix it i stretched the spring too much for it to be usable. so i buy a new spring and pulley kit and it's all fine....then a few weeks later the string breaks. with that said....who wants to buy an ernie ball vp jr? :)
