Check my wiring?

I'm building a pedal and I wanted to put in a mod for the pedal similar to Robert Keeley's Ultra mod for the Boss DS-1. I was wondering if you guys could check my wiring on this because I have never used an spdt switch before.

Although this is a crappy paint illustration, I think it might get the gist of my idea though. The red lines are supposed to be connected to the red lines and it is basically supposed to be a switch so that I can switch between a diode or a diode along with a 3 mm LED,

I'm not sure you will be able to do this with an SPDT. You will need 1 or 2 DPDT's. leave D1 off the board and run a wire from each pad to the 2 pins in the center row of the DPDT. Solder D1 across 2 pins on one end of the switch, making sure it is facing the opposite way of D2. Solder your alternate combination of diodes or LED's to the other 2 pins on the switch. Do the same with a second DPDT and D3. Check out Beavis Audio Reasearch "Screamerlab" for ideas on how to connect diodes to switch.

Instead of having the end pins of the switch jumpered, you will have your second combination of diodes there.

Edit: A SPDT will work but you will need one for D1 and D2 combinations and one for D3 and D4 combinations. Unless you want both sets to switch at the same time. Save the diode mods for the last part of your build. Then you can experiment with different combinations and know what will work and what you like before final wiring and boxing up.

Well, I got the idea from this document. (Page 14)
I  figured that as long as I was replacing diodes that are facing the same direction, I could just use 1 spdt switch.

Yep. I realized that and while I was editing you beat me to it. Sometimes I type before I am done thinking. Doh! Good luck whatever you decide to do!!

Haha. Happens to me all of the time. Thanks for the help.

I was thinking 2 wires from the board and diodes across the switch. One wire to the center and 2 combinations of diodes back to the board will be much easier.

Holy dang. That's ingenious!
