No they're these http://www.hammondmfg.com/eddydwg.htm if you want a "proper hammond" you need to buy one of these http://www.hammondmfg.com/dwg.htm two different products from the same manufacturer. Unless you're saying you're being sold the Eddystone ones as 1590 series boxes I'm not sure what the problem is.

yep thats what i was talking about, i actually went to the rs trade counter and asked for the advertised hammond in their catalogue, he brought them out and they were eddystones...with a hammond sticker placed over the normal one....

squared edges etc...see what i mean....'not was it says on the tin' ha ha.....

The numpty has just given you the wrong product by the sound of it, RS sell both sorts.

Like I said before both made by Hammond but very different products. Obviously if he was genuinely trying to sell you the 3 quid one for 6 quid then that's very naughty.

I've ordered 1590s from RS and that's what they've sent me.
