Hi all,

I'm just finishing the perfboard layout of the intriguing sounding Splitter/Blender pedal. Have yet to work out how I'm really going to make best use of it but, heck, I love crashing two effects together and if I can do that with one out of phase then all the better!
Might be very useful, more seriously, when using the bass to run one clean and one overdriven half.

I suppose I'm not absolutely clear on the exact capabilities of the circuit. I.e. Are loops A & B always active and their volumes controlled by the 25k pot? Would you mute one therefore just by turning it down?

And is it best to run the circuit in an "always on" fashion, or has anyone that has built it found it best to have two states i.e. true bypass and then the Splitter/Blend loop A and loop B circuits?

Many thanks for any advice.

B Tremblay

I built mine with no bypass switch and yes, the loops are always on.  You can control the mix level with either the Blend pot or with the volume of the effects in the loops.  There's no wrong way to do it.

Thank you Mr. Tremblay, just what I needed to hear. I might build it in an always on fashion, I'm following the KISS principle more and more as builds go on. Plus, I'm running out of 3PDT's  ;)
