Guitar-to-Gate?

Mr. Lime

Sorry for grave-digging but a Guitar to Gate circuit which puts out a maximum of 5V to control Druid's ENVGEN 8 VCADSR is exactly what I'm looking for.

Slacker's link sadly is dead..

Does anyone know a suitable envelope detector?
MFOS's Audio Signal to Gate seem to adress my needs but I think the output exceeds 5V..
What do I have to do to get a suitable hysteresis and output voltage?

Isn't the first gain stage with gain of 100 way to much? Also the comperator has to be modified to fit.
Can anyone help me to scale it for 5V?
Thanks for help

That only stands for sensitivity pot fully up - on top right is clearly refered to saturated op-amp output voltage..
For full down setting, gain can't be more than 16.66 [ R6 / (R3 + R2//R5)]

Choose a suitable 5V single supply op-amp and go for it without scaling anything..

Input impedance seems low for guitar.

Do you want it to open only on LOUD parts? Or anytime the signal is higher than hiss? Noise-gates often have gains in the thousands.

So turn it down!!
