 Hi!

Whole pedal works internally at 5V*, pedal uses NJM2930L05 (IC10) regulator. Maybe there's something wrong with this regulator.

First check exact voltage of your AC adaptor (it may be much more than stated by the voltage selector), then check voltages at VI and VO pins of the regulator with 9V at DC jack.

Let us know.

Good luck, T.

PS: Don't run pedal if there will be significantly more than 5V on regulator's VO for too long, you could damage logic chips inside!

* Edit: Well, schematic says 5V - I would expect more actually thanks to D10 lifting GND node of the regulator (cca 7V), but maybe there's something I don't know..

more wierd stuff... it work fine with my dc brick at 9v but not with my other ac adapter 9v...

some power supply's provide better quality voltage...this mght be the case....but measure both power supply's with a voltohmeter...
