Double-sided circuits are pretty difficult to etch (though there may be people here who are able and willing to do it). I'd suggest an alternative: the DorkbotPDX board order. It's $5 per square inch and you get 3 copies of the board. If you have a small board and could find a use for two extras of it, the group order is highly economical and you get a professionally fabricated board out of the deal. I did my first order about a month ago and it only cost $21.

The downside is that they just had an order a few days ago and the next one isn't for another 2 weeks. But the upside is that if you have the board laid out in Eagle, you've already done all the work, as they accept Eagle files directly.

His link is screwed up. THIS is the website I think he was suggesting.

I tried to do this once with double sided copper-clad board. It took me a few tries, but I eventually got a board that was usable. I printed out the pcb layout with a laserjet printer, cut it out to the exact size of the board, ironed it on, let it cool down, taped the other part onto the other side of the board, and ironed that on. The second time around I ironed it with the first ironed on side up and ironed the second part from the bottom. It wasn't very practical.

Yep, put quotes around it accidentally - fixed in the original post now.

i thought you had a place lined up to make it for you!   :D
want me to see about converting to a single sided layout?

yeah i got the order from futurlec placed in. It's pretty good quality for getting a nice prototype, but if i ever wanted to get another board made id rather not pay about $30 for a single board. Really just seeing what other options are out there. Futurlec was the first name that came up when I went searching.
