jfet boost after Ge fuzz face?

to put it crudely, my pnp fuzz face clone needs more balls
i need it to yell but it's only talking
i love the fetzer valve from runoffgroove, but i need it to be positive ground
will a p-channel jfet and reversing the polarities of the electrolytics do the trick?

i'm thinking i'll hardwire the ff volume pot and use the fetzer gain pot in place of the volume (if this'll work)

You see those two resistors in the collector of the second transistor? Replace those with a potentiometer which is nearly the same value as the sum of the resistors. You can adjust the balls directly. The volume pot then gives you zero to max balls.
