bc209b transistor replacement

What different transistors are good picks to replace bc209b transistors?

Will the bc109 or the bc550 work?
2n5088, 3904, 2222?

it's just a general purpose, small signal, medium gain sillicon NPN transistor...use whatever you have handy

thank you for the reply.  i was wondering what would be a good first best match guess.  it is for an old farfisa organ and i was trying to cut down on the soldering time.
