I am new to this forum. also new to stompbox builds. I am going to try building a Neovibe. Anybody have a good set of gutshots for a completed project?

Thanks

Greenmachine

If you don't mind my saying so,  if you're new to stompbox building, then the neovibe isn't the project for you right now.  Start small e.g. boosters, simple distortions.  If you need a gutshot to help you with a neovibe, then I'm not so sure it'd be right for you.  It's a big project with lot's of places to go wrong.

Green machine,
By new, I mean only three pedal builds under my belt, the BYOC confidence boost, triangle big muff and flanger. The flanger was pretty dense, high parts count, IC chips, etc. All pedals fired up perfect first time, so I think I have some basic soldering skill and careful mindset. I'd really like to try this. A gut shot is always a good reference for first time builder's of any pedal. So far I have only found a gut shot of a neovibe fit into a crybaby pedal. Somebody must have a decent photo of a completed standard build......

Search here. I remember a number of PCB shots from the past decade or so.  :icon_biggrin:

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Well, that's quite a different story.  And yes, I suppose you're right about the gut shot being a good reference for any build at anytime - I apologize.  Enjoy the build, I built one using R.G.'s board from GGG and was really pleased with the sound.

the neovibe was my first project worked perfect the first time, only because i was very very carefull about the placement of each part checking that it was right several times before soldering

Yeah, me too. I am extremely careful on the build, double or triple check everything before soldering in. I have a big-ass magnifier/light gadget that allows me to zoom in on the soldering hugely. My debugging skills are nonexistent, so i really need to get it right the first time.
