Best approach to graft a BMP tone control on an Ugly Face?

I want to add a BMP tone control onto an Ugly Face. Seems the output is connected to the Frequncy pot also. Placing the BMP Tone control after the .1 output cap seems a little strange. While putting it in place of the .1 out cap looks like it might interact with the Frequency pot. Would it work after the volume control?

Seeing how loud this thing is, I think it would work nicely after the volume control

But you might get "weirder" effects messing with the tone inside the circuit rather than outside... have you tried putting it on the 386 output, before the electrolytics?

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking it might work after the volume control. The output is quite huge normally.

I don't think it would do much between the 386 and 555. The 386 is really driving the reset pin on the 555. When it drives high enough the 555 oscillator is running, when it's low the oscillator stops. So I'd guess the tone after the 386 would have minimal to no effect. Then again you never know.
