having trouble getting a signal from the pedal or any sound for that matter.
The lights on the box will only light up when the intrument cable is partially inserted into the guitar.
Once the plug is all the way inserted I get nothing. I'm posting pics of the board, maybe there is a problem
I can't see. could it be a grounding issue? Obviously I'm new at this. Any info would be helpful.
thanks

Does the box work (create distortion) when the cable is partially inserted? Or, is it just the lights that work when this is done?

Only the lights work when the cord is partially inserted. That is the cord going into the guitar is partially inserted into the guitar. That's the only way I even noticed it was functioning at all

Pics are a great start (even though you used myspace to host... which I cannot see from this computer :icon_rolleyes:) but in order to get this fixed, you should read through this link and repost with what is required:

I have no desire to set up a myspace account just to see the picture, but if the jack is one of the totally enclosed plastic types rather than an open Switchcraft type, they quite often permit the jack to go in further than it should, shorting out the signal pin.  A guitar jack should be a very simple mono jack with no extra switching.  If something else is in there, check how far it goes in and whether it traps the plug properly.
