Any more info on a TR09 transitor?

Today I really lucked out.

I was checking leakage on a bunch of germs, then decided to check a couple transistors I had in my "?" pile.
I had 3 Tr09's labeled NPN "?" with gains of ~ 90, 80, 50

I really was expecting more silicon, but the leakage was higher than normal silicon's, so I was pretty sure they were ge's. They were. The leakage was very good for ge [~ 100uA]. I threw the 80 & 90 in Q1 & Q2 respectively, adjusted Q2's collector with a 10k pot to get 4.5v and got a killer sound right off.  Guess what the pot measured...8K

I did a bunch of searches for the TR09, but found very little info, except for a Russian data page:
http://transistor-spravochnik.ru/description/tr09/54401

It's a metal can with gold legs & the only other writing on the transistor is IOR [the manufacturer?]

Does anyone know what vintage these are and/or what country they're from?  Either way, keep an eye out. A
good ge NPN candidate.
