Grounding a 1/4" Jack

Hey everyone, just a quick (I hope) question. So I'm thinking of just throwing together this simple little true bypass switch to bypass my one pedal since it's a real tone sucker. I'm thinking of the one at the top of this page:
http://www.muzique.com/lab/truebypass.htm
I don't need anything "fancy" like LEDs or anything, so I figured this would be a good one since I already have all the components that I'll need around my house. I was just wondering though, the Input and Output jacks are both grounded, but I don't know where they would be grounded to? If I was using a metal enclosure, would I just attach the grounds to the enclosure, and if so, what if I was to use an enclosure not made of metal? Sorry if I'm completely wrong about what to do. I know that this is a super simple circuit, but I've never understood grounding, so I figure if I can learn it for this, I can apply it to more complex pedals.
So, to summarize all of that, the ground goes from the ring/sleeve to where?
Thanks

It's the exact same spot that the components on your effects schematic are grounded to.  Ground is just a common point.

Ie, look for this on your "effects circuit board" schematic and connect to the same spot.

This is just a simple loop with four jacks and a single DPDT switch, so there is no circuit board. I know it's a common ground, but where does the ground connect to (since there's no board). Thanks

I PM'd you a schematic but if you decide you want an LED there is always GEOFEX: http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/milltbbx.gif
Looks to be the same. All sleeves are grounded together, but not a complete loop.

nowhere, or are you worrying about anchoring a ground strip?
