dig dug lite problem

hello I just built the dig dug lite (see below) that i found on this site.  I get the sequence part from the pedal, but not the wah part.  Basically it sounds like a tremolo.  Does anyone know what part of the schematic and layout that I used below is the wah part of the circuit so I can try to figure out what the problem is.  Thank you.

might help. the vtl5c3 didn't do too much for me

i have a problem with a "popping" at each step though...

According to that link the vtl5c9 worked better.   It seems I have the same problem as them I get the sequencing, the speed and filter work, I just dont get a wah sound, i get a tremelo. I guess I should get some vtl5c9's.  Did you try the vtl5c9?  If so did it work any better?
