Very interesting, motorpull into space gamma-noise..
Doesn't exactly sound like a cheep bass drum, but shore is interesting 1
LOL funny sounds make laughter !
 Interesting synth !
So I pulled a coil from a hardrive motor and tried to magentic pickup a..various vibrating items, kinda neat a triangular coil, had string through the middle, was hoped to be bass drummey is some sense also, I think the coil shorted though.
I had the bass drum mic'd 8 ways, and recorded them, had to ditch the unit...bass drums record funny, replaced with analog thumper, huge improvement and tunes to very low bass drum type tone. I found the 1/4'' plug/cable and passive system are much easier to process, than the bass drum/mic/stand thing, and delivered far superior 'bass drum' tone than with the tuned/mic'd bass drum, any of the 1 or 2 of eight ways till sunday..
I've got this bass drum schematic thing which has a trigger input, and various adjustments for analog oscillator to make BD sounds.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

try the 10uf from pin 1 to pin 5....much better!...

if it was switched , i think 10uf to pin 1-5

then pin 1 -8 doubles it...

pin 1-7 doubles again....sounds like it.... :icon_twisted:

edit: for the heavy dub version, stick a 47uf from pin 5 to ground too... :icon_cool: :icon_mrgreen:

Your post wasn't clear on this; are those caps mutually exclusive or combinations? i.e. many spst or a rotary switch?

i was just messing around changing positions of the cap....looking at the possibilities.....

it was quite good.. i jammed along with it....1 guitar.. 1 kick drum...doing slide acoustic blues stuff... :icon_cool:

bit more eq'ing on it and it would be quite good actually...kept time well for a 386....

So a rotary then?

And should you put a el-cap on the output a la noisy cricket/ruby?
