Ibanez DM1100 delay trafo humming. Does it matter?

Fellow DIyers, I recently repaired an Ibanez DM1100 delay, rackmount 80´s thing, nice delay. I got it non working. The internal mains transformer was shot, I sent it to a repair house and they repaired it. Now it works OK, BUT, the trafo hums/vibrates audibly. I don´t know if it did it when new, ´cause I got it broken... so the question is, besides the acoustic annoyance, does it matter? Will it eventually break something from the vibration? Other consequences?
