tonepad pedal power

I've found out that the power source I used has a problem. I've build the Pedal Power from tonepad http://www.tonepad.com/project.asp?id=59

I've noticed that, when connecting two or more pedals, the voltage drops.I plugged 3 pedals and a Wah, and the Wah couldn't even sound..

That also happened when I plugged in the Rebote Delay 2.5. The voltage drops from 9.23V to 4.43V!!  And that cost me a day and a half of probing/measuring and destroying potentiometers..

So, I wonder what kind of Transformer should I use? Tonepad bill of materials doesn't specify. I used a 12VAC / 1A transformer.
Should I use a 3A trasnformer or what? I want to power up 5-6 units.

1A should be plenty to power 5-6 pedals considering your average pedal draws from 20-50mA 

You might want to look into potential wiring or component problems with your power supply.

Is there a possibility of high power consumption because of LEDs i use for the pedals' ON/OFF?
I use 2k2 resistor in series with the led in just like tonepad offboard wiring No 5.

NO

The LEDs would still not draw enough to disrupt the 1A output of the transformer.

I think you need to take a bettwr look at your build/wiring. Something in there is causing this problem.

See debugging thread:
Did you follow the schematic? No parts substitutions?

A few things to try:
- test every pedal separately with a known good connection
- test your DC cable/cables with one good pedal
If all that is verified, add pedals until the problem occurs.

Maybe interesting to see which pedal draws the most current.
